Permanent Work Visas – Skilled Migration
This is also called an Independent Skilled Worker Permanent Residence Visa – subclass 189. This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government. You must be invited by the Department of Home Affairs to apply for this visa based on your Expression of Interest lodged with the SkillSelect system.

This visa is for points-tested skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian State or Territory Government agency. Each state or territory in Australia can nominate occupations that are a high priority for that particular state or territory and can be drawn from the Medium to Long Term, the Short Term and the Regional Occupation Lists.

Skilled Regional (Subclass 191) visa is a permanent residence pathway for people who have lived, worked and studied in a designated regional area within Australia and held a previous eligible visa.

- have complied with the conditions of the eligible visa you hold or have held
